Podiatrist to Discuss Foot Care at Diabetes Support Group Meeting Tuesday

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Proper foot care is essential for people with diabetes. From foot self-exams to medical checkups, there are many things one can do to keep their feet in good shape, improve circulation, and prevent foot problems. To learn more, plan to attend the free Diabetes Care Center Support Group meeting on Tuesday, February 25.

Guest speaker Tiffany Anderson, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, will discuss foot care for diabetic patients. The meeting will be held at Regional West Medical Plaza South, Room 1202, from 6 to 7 p.m. Dr. Anderson will discuss proper foot care and footwear, as well as prevention of diabetic foot disease. She will bring samples of proper footwear and discuss complications that can occur in patients with diabetes.

The support group is sponsored by Regional West Diabetes Care Center and is open, free of charge, to the public. Those affected by diabetes, including caregivers, are encouraged to attend.
