At Regional West Medical Center, a patient and guest experience specialist is available to assist patients and families. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional care and be responsive to your needs.

Click here to send a message to family or friends during their stay at Regional West Medical Center. Please include the patient’s first and last name. We will print your message and deliver it to the patient Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Messages received outside these hours will be delivered on the next business day. If the patient is not listed in the directory we will not be able to deliver the message.

Please note that in general, Internet email is not secure. We recommend that items considered confidential or personal (i.e. diagnosis, treatment, credit card numbers, or Social Security numbers) not be communicated through email.

Patient and family services within the hospital

  • Direct phone line to patient rooms
    • Patient rooms have direct dial telephones. Family and friends can reach you by dialing the hospital’s main number at 308-635-3711 and ask to be connected to the room. There are no telephones in ICU/PCU rooms.
  • Valuables
    • Please leave valuables, including jewelry, larger amounts of money, and credit cards at home. We cannot be responsible for the loss of money or other valuables left in your room.
  • Mail is delivered daily to our patients. Letters, cards, and flowers can be sent to patients in care of:

Please note that fresh flowers cannot be delivered to patients who are currently in the ICU or PCU.

  • Park Bench Café  
    • Visitors and employees enjoy nutritious meals at The Park Bench Café. The cafe offers complete meals and a la cart dining, including daily specials.
      • Hours: Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Breakfast: 6:30 to 10:15 a.m.; Lunch: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Supper: 4:30 to 7 p.m.; Deli: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Breakfast 6:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.; Lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
      • Note: Although we welcome credit cards, debit cards, and cash, checks are no longer accepted at the Park Bench. Reloadable Park Bench gift cards are also available.
  • Chapel/Pastoral Care
    • Our chaplain/pastoral care is available 24 hours a day for spiritual support for you and your family. To access the chaplain, dial the operator and have them page the chaplain. Regional West’s chapel is located on the hospital’s first floor, just down the hall from the main elevators.
  • Gift Shop
    • Staffed by volunteers, Regional West's Gift Shop is located in the hospital's main lobby. Gift Shop profits go directly to the Volunteers and Friends of Regional West and is used to fund health care-related scholarships, programs, and equipment. With new inventory arriving weekly, the Gift Shop offers a variety of gift choices as well as fresh and silk floral arrangements, reading material, cards, jewelry, and candy. The following credit cards are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
  • Interpretation Services
    • Regional West Medical Center provides patient-related interpreter services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate for patients, their family members, and other legally authorized persons. This service is available 24/7 either person to person, by video remote, or telephone interpreting. Regional West uses the services of Cyracom. This service provides qualified interpreters in more than 210 languages, including American Sign Language. The line is available for all our patient services. To access this service, contact the switchboard operator at 308-635-3711, your nurse, and/or the unit director and one of them will provide you with the information you need.
