At Regional West, filling prescriptions before you leave the hospital is fast and simple.

If you wish to have your prescriptions filled upon discharge, you may either have your nurse call your prescriptions in or you may bring them to Community Pharmacy at Regional West. Community Pharmacy is our full-service pharmacy conveniently located on the hospital’s main campus.

  • A current copy of your prescription insurance card is required before prescriptions can be filled.
  • Most third party prescription plans are accepted.
  • Take home prescriptions cannot be charged to your hospital bill and will require payment at the time they are picked up.

Meds-to-Beds Program
When you are ready to leave the hospital, we want you to get home as safely and quickly as possible. Regional West Medical Center now offers Meds-to-Beds, a convenient bedside delivery service that allows you to get your prescriptions from Community Pharmacy at Regional West before you leave our facility. Taking your medications as prescribed may help you have a safer return home and a smoother recovery, in addition to reducing your risk of returning to the hospital.

How Meds-to-Beds Works

  • A Regional West care team member will ask you if you would like to sign up for the Meds-to-Beds bedside delivery service. To sign up, tell your nurse that you would like to have your medications delivered via Meds-to-Beds.
  • Once enrolled, a pharmacy team member will contact you to review your prescription insurance information and discuss options for collecting prescription medication costs (copays). Our outpatient pharmacy, Community Pharmacy at Regional West, accepts cash, check, or credit card. Copays are collected once take-home medication orders are finalized and processed at Community Pharmacy.
  • When your physician or provider places an order for your take-home medications, we will work to coordinate and complete any prior authorizations with your insurance so that there are no delays in starting your medications after discharge.
  • A pharmacy team member will then deliver your prescription medications directly to your hospital bedside. A pharmacist is available to answer any questions you may have before you leave the hospital.
