Regional West’s Imaging Services Department Introduces Siemens Sola MRI Machine
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Patients receiving an MRI at Regional West can experience more precise, fast, and comfortable exams through the new Siemens Sola MRI machine.
Regional West’s Imaging Services department received the new addition in late 2025. The machine includes a wide bore to accommodate people of all sizes, as well as new applications and technologies that provide high quality images and significantly reduce exam times. Regional West is the only facility in Scottsbluff that has both this machine and software, making it the fastest in town.
Regional West Imaging Services Director Josh Lively, MHA, BS, R.T.(R)(VI), said the Sola MRI has made a noticeable difference not only in scan times, but in patient comfort.
“Some of our exams are done in as little as seven minutes, and many other exams have seen scan times reduced by 40 to 50%. This is a major improvement for our patients, especially those who are in pain or claustrophobic,” he said. “The machine and its software are hands down the best technology available. We are so excited to have this equipment here at Regional West.”
