Regional West Foundation Awards $21,500 in Scholarships to School of Radiologic Technology Students

Foundation Scholarships for School of Radiologic Technology

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― The Regional West Foundation Board of Directors has awarded a total of $21,500 in scholarships to five Regional West School of Radiologic Technology students.

Each year, Regional West Foundation grants health education scholarships to students from Regional West’s service area. Following graduation, many of the students pursue employment in the communities Regional West serves. Scholarship awards are split between the 2025 fall and 2026 spring semesters.  

Alexia Garcia, Bridgeport, was awarded a $2,000 Lovercheck scholarship and a $1,000 Regional West Foundation scholarship.

Jessyca Garza, Alliance, earned a $5,000 Gerke scholarship and a $1,000 Regional West Foundation scholarship.

Cadence Schleicher, Gering, received a $1,000 Drawbaugh scholarship and a $5,000 Regional West Foundation scholarship.

Sarah Wallace, Newell, South Dakota, was awarded a $2,000 Kellett scholarship and a $1,000 C.N. Sorensen scholarship.

Alyssa Gonzales Wilson, Minatare, received a $2,500 Gerke scholarship and a $1,000 C.N. Sorensen scholarship.

Founded in 1951, Regional West Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology is a two-year hospital-based program offering the only radiographer education program in western Nebraska. Regional West’s radiography program is nationally accredited through The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.

The Regional West Foundation was established in 1972 to support the health system’s mission of excellence in healthcare. Today, the Foundation's success is a continuation of a long and proud tradition of community support for superior healthcare services in the communities it serves.
