WNCC Basketball Players Volunteer At Flu Shot Clinic

Scottsbluff, NE - Three Western Nebraska Community College basketball players, and one WNCC coach’s son, were among the many volunteers who helped stage the 4th annual Drive-Through Flu Shot Clinic last Saturday at Regional West Medical Center.

A total of 694 flu shots were given by nurse volunteers during the four-hour event.

An Adult Walk-In Flu Shot Clinic will be held November 8 from 8 a.m. to noon at Regional West Medical Plaza South, conference room #1202.

Cost is $30 for flu shots and $45 for pneumonia shots. Medicare will be billed for those who bring their cards.

Flu shots are recommended for persons 50 years or older, those with chronic medical conditions, residents of nursing homes or long-term care facilities, pregnant women, health care personnel who provide direct patient care, and both household contacts and out-of-home caregivers of children less than five years old.
