Shirley Knodel Appointed Chief Nursing Officer at Regional West

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Shirley Knodel, RN, BSN, MS was recently appointed vice president of patient care and chief nursing office at Regional West Medical Center.

Knodel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from South Dakota State University in Brookings and a Master of Science degree in administrative studies, health care administration from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.

During her 29-year nursing career, Knodel has served in many aspects of nursing and nursing administration including staff nurse, stress testing coordinator, education director, home health care director, director of orthopedics, director or resource management, and in the neurology, pediatrics and surgical fields.

Prior to coming to Scottsbluff, Knodel served as the administrative director of patient services at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
