Regional West Employee Elevated to Life Membership in State Organization

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Randy Prouty BA, RT(R) was elevated to “Life Membership” in the Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists during the 80th annual meeting of the NSRT.

Prouty was recognized with this honor for his many years of commitment towards education and advancement in the radiologic technology profession at the state and national levels. Only 22 other technologists have received this recognition by the state society in its history.

Prouty has served as nominations chairman, secretary/treasurer, vice president, president-elect, president, and chairman of the board for the Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists. He has been a Nebraska delegate for the House of Delegates of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. He also has given several educational presentations during previous state meetings. Prouty continued his commitment to the profession by being re-elected as president-elect at this meeting.

Prouty is a 1978 graduate of Scottsbluff High School, and earned an associated degree from Western Nebraska Community College in 1980. He is a 1982 graduate of West Nebraska General Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. Prouty received his bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College located in Standish, Maine in 2006.

Prouty has been an employee of Regional West Medical Center since1982. He currently is the diagnostic supervisor in the Imaging Services department and is the chief clinical instructor for the School of Radiologic Technology at Regional West.
