Regional West Bariatric & Weight Loss Surgery Program To Host Free Monthly Support Group

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― People who are on a weight loss journey or are interested in pursuing one are invited to attend Regional West Bariatric & Weight Loss Surgery’s free monthly support group.

The first support group meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Scotts Bluff I room at Regional West Medical Center. Patients, support persons, and others who are interested in learning about weight loss options are welcome to attend. Support groups will be held on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Scotts Bluff I room.

Bariatric Coordinator Amber Schulze, FNP-C, said she is looking forward to offering another avenue for weight loss support.

“The path to weight loss is not always an easy one. With monthly support groups, people can meet others who are on the same journey, form new friendships, and learn more about tools that can help them,” Schulze said.

The program is also looking to add an online support group option in the near future.
