Regional West Air Link Hosts Free Education Day, RSVP by April 1

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Air Link invites paid and volunteer EMS squad members, nurses, and other health care providers to attend a free hands-on, interactive education session on Saturday, April 16. The event will feature speakers from Denver, Colo., Omaha, Neb. and the Air Link flight team. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. There is no cost to participate, but registration by April 1 is required. To register, call the Harms Advanced Technology Center, 308.635.6700.

Participants will spend the afternoon rotating through stations, applying hands-on knowledge in various areas.

Continuing education hours will be awarded for topics including skills stations, new CPR guidelines, “Bringing your ‘A’ Game Every Day,” burn management, rattlesnake bites, and “Oxygen Therapy, Harmful or Beneficial?”

Throughout the day, participants will be chosen at random to win prizes, including water bottles, t-shirts, koozies and the grand prize -- A ride in Air Link 1.

Covering over 23,000 square miles in western Nebraska, the Air Link 1 is an integral part of the only comprehensive trauma system west of Kearney. The system serves important volunteer and paid ground crews, and medical staff in Critical Access Hospitals in the Nebraska panhandle, eastern Wyoming, southern South Dakota and northeastern Colorado, linking them to the referral center and its specialists at Regional West Medical Center.
