Nebraska Center for Nursing Accepting, “Nurses Who Make a Difference,” Nominations

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., - To the average person, illness or injury is not a time looked upon with fond remembrance. For those whose lives were forever changed by the caring and compassion of a nurse however, there may be a few gems to hold on to. The Nebraska Center for Nursing (NCFN) would like to hear your story.

In honor of National Nurses’ Week, May 6-12, they are accepting nominations for the “Nurses Who Make a Difference” recognition program. Nominations must be received by April 14. The public is invited to nominate a nurse or multiple nurses who have made or are currently making a difference in their lives. With proper contact information, all nurses who are nominated will be sent notification of the nomination. The mailing will also thank them and recognize their excellent customer service. Each person who is nominated will also receive a certificate for display. Letters will be sent the week of May 6 to all nurses who can be located. Nomination forms are available on-line www.center4nursing.com .

For those who prefer to hand write their nomination submissions can be made to: Nebraska Center for Nursing PO Box 94986 Lincoln, NE 68509 When submitting your nomination please be sure to include the nurse’s name, where they are employed or location where the care occurred. Any other contact information you may have would also be helpful. Please be sure to include an explanation of what the nurse did that made such an impression and positive difference in your life, or in the life of someone you know. Also include your name, address and telephone number in case the NCFN has questions about your nomination. If you wish to remain anonymous, just indicate that in your letter or nomination form.
