Local Paramedic Receives National Certification

SIDNEY, Neb., – Natalie Andre, NREMT-P, has received her certification as a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic. Andre is a paramedic with Emergency Response Care, the Sidney-based ambulance service of Regional West Health Services in Scottsbluff.

Andre became eligible to take the exam in December upon completion of required classes that included 150 hours of classroom instruction, 232 of clinical experience and 298 hours of direct in-the-field experience. The paramedic exam measures both didactic and practical skill levels of each participant, ensuring they are in consistent with the Department of Transportation and approved national standards. The comprehensive exam takes approximately five hours to complete.

“I am thankful and blessed to be serving my community with the gifts God has given to me,” said Andre.

According to Randy Meininger, Emergency Response Care program manager, it is our goal to have all paramedics nationally registered.

“Natalie provides emergency medical services with the right motives and is a true servant,” says Meininger. “It has been exciting to watch Natalie grow and overcome many obstacles to complete her goal. With passion, she gives back to the community that supports her.”
