Farm/Ranch Health and Safety Conference Deadline Approaching

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Saturday, February 10 is the annual Farm/Ranch Health & Safety Conference. This conference will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University of Nebraska Complex located at 4502 Avenue I in Scottsbluff. Registration is required and must be received by January 19.

According to event sponsors, the unique nature of agriculture seldom affords farm and ranch families the time required to take proper care of their health. Having one day full of education and health screening opportunities will make it more convenient for the families.

The conference will cover many farm/ranch safety and health issues including fad diets, lifespan immunizations, obesity health concerns, child farm safety, home disaster preparedness, Will and Estate planning and the West Nile virus. Numerous age-appropriate health screenings and tests are included in the registration fee.

Sponsors for the event are Friends of Regional West, Regional West Foundation, Regional Care, Inc., University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center, University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension, University of Nebraska Medical Center and the College of Nursing – Western Division, Regional West Medical Center, Horizons West Medical Group, Scotts Bluff County and Partners in Behavioral Health.

The deadline for registration is Friday, January 19. For more information or to request a brochure call 630-1442.
