Area Cancer Survivors Are Invited to Learn More About Clinical Trials at Special Presentation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., - Area cancer survivors, their support persons, and the general public are invited to a presentation highlighting clinical trials, their uses and applications. Sponsored by Regional West Medical Center, the program is Wed., Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. The presentation will be held in Medical Plaza South meeting room #1202, located directly off of the main lobby. There is no cost to attend the presentation.

Clinical trials for cancer are research studies conducted with human volunteers. Each study answers scientific questions and tries to find safer, more effective ways to prevent, screen for, diagnose, or treat cancer. Participants in clinical trials can play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available and help others by contributing to medical research.
