Regional West to Offer Wound Care Conference

Wound Care Conference

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Area nurses and healthcare professionals are invited to attend the Regional West Wyo-braska Wound Care Conference starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Hampton Inn & Suites Scottsbluff-Conference Center in Scottsbluff. 

The conference will feature a variety of speakers addressing issues related to wound care, including nationally-known wound expert, Joyce Black, PhD, RN, FAAN, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Dr. Black specializes in the prevention and management of pressure injuries. Presenters include Regional West physicians Bradley Hertzler, MD, MDiv, FACS; Rommie Hughes, MD, FACS, RPVI; Luis Martin, MD; and John LoMonaco, MD. Other presenters include Tyson Gould, RN-BSN, Brookestone Home Health and Hospice; and Devin Beaver, BSN, RN, CWCN, Hannah Evans, BSN, RN, and Lauren Gartrell, RN, members of the Regional West inpatient and clinic wound care teams. 

Attendees will learn a comprehensive approach to wound identification, management, and dressings; diabetic wounds; home care wound care and qualifying patients; plus more!

The conference will provide five contact hours of nursing education. Regional West has also designated this educational conference for a maximum of five CME credit hours.
