Village At Regional West Hosts Special Performance by Harpist Alfredo Ortiz

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., -Internationally acclaimed harpist Alfredo Ortiz will present a special performance for residents of The Village at Regional West on Monday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. in the Village’s multi-purpose room.

The concert will be provided free of charge to residents and their families and the public is welcome to attend.

Ortiz, a native of Cuba, is a physician, composer, lecturer, author and recording artist. He studied music in Venezuela and completed his medical studies in Colombia, after which he began performing professionally and recorded his first album. He offers a multicultural repertoire including folk, classical and popular music of many countries.

“We are excited that our residents have the opportunity to enjoy a performance by such an outstanding artist in the comfort of their own home,” said Karen Vorse, Village manager. “We’re also pleased to open this event to our friends at Heritage Estates as well as to area music lovers.”

Ortiz’s visit is made possible through the Lied Center’s Arts Across Nebraska program, funded in part by TierOne Bank Foundation and Friends of the Lied, plus local sponsors. He will also perform at the Historic Midwest Theater on April 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The Village at Regional West is a retirement community located in Scottsbluff that includes a 43-bed assisted living facility and 57 independent living apartments. It is owned by Regional West Health Services.
