Regional West Garden County Appoints Nursing Home Director

OSHKOSH, Neb., – Regional West Garden County Nursing Home is pleased to announce the appointment of Tasha Clark, RN, as director of long-term nursing care.

Clark has worked at both Regional West Garden County Hospital and Nursing Home a year and a half. She earned her nursing degree in May 2015 from Mid-Plains Community College, North Platte, Neb., and has nearly nine years of experience as a certified nursing assistant, as well as certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

After graduating from high school in Tulsa, Okla., she joined the Navy and served for four years as a hull tech; completing her service as a signalman and E4. As a veteran, she is experienced in welding, plumbing, fire-fighting and MDS coordination, but her passion is nursing.

“I started volunteering at a hospital when I was 15 and I’ve loved nursing ever since,” said Clark. “I know our residents from having worked in the nursing home and I looking forward to working with our staff to provide the best care.”

Clark met her husband Jim, an Oshkosh native, while in the Navy. They moved from Bremerton, Wash., to Chappell, and more recently moved their family to Oshkosh. They have three children: Nathaniel, 11; Christopher, 6; and Caleb, 4.

“We are very happy to be able to promote such a capable and energetic employee into a management position at our long-term care facility,” said Chad Thompson, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of Regional West Garden County. “Tasha’s love of the community and our patients, along with the extensive skills she acquired in the Navy and as a CNA, are a good leadership combination for our nursing home.”

The Regional West Garden County Long-Term Care Unit is a 40-bed intermediate care facility. It provides 24-hour licensed nursing care to assist residents with their daily needs and to help them maintain their optimum functioning level. Adult Day Care, Respite Care, and Hospice services are also available.
