Ideal Linen donates $50,000 to Regional West Foundation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – As the owner of a family business that employees nearly 100 area residents, Ideal Linen President Paul Mohr, considers the availability of quality health care a vital community resource.

To show his support for the doctors, nurses and staff who help care for his employees and his family, Mohr presented a $50,000 check Monday to Regional West Foundation Executive Director Shelley Knutson and Regional West Health Services President and CEO Todd Sorensen, MD, MS. The contribution is designated for Regional West Foundation’s Campaign for Continuing Excellence.

The Mohr family has relied on Regional West Medical Center for health care through four generations.

“We appreciate having a great medical facility in our community to provide care for our own family, and we believe it is important to support the hospital so that it can continue to provide quality health care for our employees and their families,” said Mohr.

The Campaign for Continuing Excellence has provided resources to design, construct, furnish, and install the latest technology for an on-site education center. The new training facility will expand local continuing education opportunities for hospital staff and providers. It is scheduled to open in the near future.

In addition, the campaign is funding the renovation of patient rooms and common areas, a new CT simulator for the Cancer Treatment Center, and new cardiac catheterization equipment for the Heart Center.

“We are grateful to Paul and Lisa Mohr for generously supporting the Foundation’s campaign,” said Sorensen. “As an established, family-owned local business, Ideal Linen not only contributes greatly to our local economy; they demonstrate their commitment to the community through their charitable contributions as well.”

Regional West Foundation has been raising funds for the benefit of the hospital since 1972. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that solicits tax-deductible private contributions for the benefit of Regional West Medical Center.
