Ferguson Focused On Service

With his focus always on service, Regional West computer analyst Adam Ferguson knows the weight of his role in the Information Services Department.

Whether it’s working in the help desk call center or within the facility installing computer systems, Ferguson and the rest of the IT team work to keep the exchange of information flowing. He loves that responsibility and appreciates the trust that has been placed in him.

“People know they can go to me for any questions, any problem that they have,” Ferguson said. “I feel trusted.”

More than seven years ago, Ferguson started with Regional West as an electronics tech in maintenance. He has always had a love for computers. As he worked servicing them, Ferguson saw his future path and sought a move to Information Systems.

“As I was working with the computers, it dawned on me that this was what I wanted to do,” he said.

Regional West was the right fit for Ferguson from the beginning.

“I needed to have a job to help lift me up,” he said. “I wanted to find somewhere that I knew would help me expand, let me learn and grow. I have really come to love the place.”

The Information Systems team contains a good mix of people and personalities, Ferguson said.

“It’s fun to see that we’re all willing to grow,” he said. “We’re all willing to learn. We’re all willing to do what we need to do to keep things working.”

His role as a computer analyst is important to Ferguson. His role as dad to his young daughters is his inspiration for excelling at his job.

“The biggest thing that keeps me going on a daily basis, why I won’t quit at what I’m doing, is for Janet and Gabriella, my two daughters,” Ferguson said. “They’re the biggest factor as to what I do.”

Ferguson’s work recently earned him a nomination as a STAR Award winner, having been nominated as an employee who demonstrates outstanding care and customer service.
