Diabetes Education Classes Scheduled at Regional West

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – The public is invited to attend three upcoming free diabetes education classes sponsored by the Diabetes Care Center at Regional West Physicians Clinic:

March 13, “Successful Meal Planning,” presented by Mary Skiles, RD, LMNT, CDE, Diabetes Care Center.

March 27, “Diabetes Medications,” presented by Sara Lookabill, Pharmacy Student, University of Wyoming.

April 24, “Laughter Really is the Best Medicine,” Vernon Kirk, PsyD, Clinical Psychology, RWPC-Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

These classes will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Regional West Medical Plaza South, meeting room 1202. No pre-registration is required. Medical Plaza South is located at 3911 Avenue B in Scottsbluff.

In addition to the free classes, The Diabetes Care Center will hold a special “Diabetes Update” class for the public on Thursday, April 12, from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m., at the Gering Civic Center. There will be a $5 charge per person for the class.

Diabetes Care Center community education classes are a supportive, informational resource for persons with diabetes, their families, and friends.
