CAP (College of American Pathologists)

The goal of the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is to help improve patient safety by advancing the standard of pathology and laboratory services through education, standard setting, and assisting laboratories to meet or exceed regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion of the inspection process, the laboratory is awarded CAP accreditation and becomes part of an exclusive group of more than 8,000 laboratories worldwide that have met an exceptional standard of excellence.

AABB (Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies)

The AABB Accreditation program promotes outstanding standards of care for both patients and donors in all aspects of blood banking, transfusion medicine, relationship testing, hematopoietic, cord blood and other cellular therapies. AABB was granted “deemed status” as an accrediting organization under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). Most recently, the accreditation program was accredited by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua).
