Steve Hodges named Regional West Health Services Vice President of Human Resources

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., - Regional West Heath Services has appointed Steve W. Hodges, SPHR as vice president of human resources. “Steve will bring a wealth of knowledge as a human resources generalist and will contribute great ideas and drive for improvement at Regional West Health Services,” says Dr. Todd Sorenson, Chief Executive Officer. “We continually strive to provide excellent care to our patients and residents, and the management of our staff is key to achieving that goal.”Hodges most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources at a community-based hospital in Manhattan, Kan., but also previously served as the Director of Human Resources at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.

Hodges is responsible for human resources, food service, housekeeping and safety/security/occupational health departments. As a human resources generalist, Hodges brings a wealth of knowledge about compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, education/development and compliance.

Hodges received his Bachelors of Science in Personal Administration and Industrial Relations Management from the University of Wyoming in 1983. He also earned his Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR) in 1998.

Hodges has been active in local, state and national volunteer leadership positions with the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, as well as serving on operational and advisory boards for homeless shelters, community colleges and other community events.
