Regional West Physicians Clinic-Diabetes Care Center Certified

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – The Regional West Physicians Clinic-Diabetes Care Center has been recognized by the American Diabetes Program as a Diabetes Education Program. To qualify for certification, diabetes programs must meet rigorous standards established by the American Diabetes Program.

The Diabetes Care Center staff offers comprehensive knowledge of and experience in diabetes management, pre-diabetes, and diabetes prevention. They provide medical care, education and support for people affected by diabetes and help them to understand and manage the condition. They promote self-management to achieve individualized behavioral and treatment goals that optimize health outcomes.

The Diabetes Care Center staff takes pride in helping individuals with diabetes. The staff includes endocrinologist Jaroslaw Aniszewski, MD; nurse practitioner Mayda Zimmerman, RN, APRN-NP; certified diabetes educators Susan Maxcy, RN, CDE; Sherry Smartt, RN, CDE; Marcia Bauer, RD, LMNT, CDE; and Mary Skiles, RD, LMNT, CDE; nurses Shelli Shepard and LPN; Malissa Meyer, LPN; and Misty Smith.

The Diabetes Care Center in Alliance, Neb., is staffed by Sue Steele, RN, CDE, and Kristin Kesterson, RD, CDE.
