Regional West Offers Self-Scheduled Lab Appointments at Medical Plaza South

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Patients receiving blood work at Regional West’s Medical Plaza South laboratory location can now self-schedule appointments in MyChart, the facility’s patient portal.  

Once labs are ordered by a Regional West physician or provider, patients can log into MyChart, select a day and time, and complete the check-in process before they arrive. When they get to Medical Plaza South, they will check in at registration desk number one.    

Regional West Laboratory Director Kelly Ramirez, HT (ASCP), looks forward to offering self-scheduled appointments, noting that patients may benefit from both convenience and shorter wait times with this new service.  

“Self-scheduling lets our patients choose a day and time that works best for them and gives them the ability to check in before their appointment. We will also have a dedicated phlebotomist for self-scheduled visits. This will be a significant benefit to patients and allow for much quicker visits,” she said.  

Patients are encouraged to arrive at least five minutes before their scheduled appointment time. For questions about self-scheduled lab appointments, patients should visit with their physician or provider.    

MyChart, Regional West’s patient portal, allows patients to correspond with their care providers, schedule appointments, refill prescriptions, access and pay their bills, and view test results. To log in or sign up for a MyChart account, go to RWHS.org, hover over the ‘Patients’ tab, and click on ‘MyChart.’
