Regional West Honors Staff at Second Quarter Awards Banquet

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West hosted its second quarter employee awards reception to recognize staff for years of service, and recipients of the STAR and PEARL awards for outstanding service and patient care. Employees are nominated quarterly by co-workers, staff, patients, and visitors.  

The STAR program at Regional West encourages employees, patients, their family members, and visitors to nominate employees who demonstrate outstanding care and customer service. The STAR award winner for the second quarter is Deb Pedersen, who works in Environmental Services.

The PEARL award recognizes employees for outstanding customer service, quality patient care, and teamwork. PEARL award winner for the second quarter is Jodi Morsett, who works in Physicians Clinic-Surgery, Vascular Diagnostics.

Regional West also honored long-term employees; recognizing staff who have worked for Regional West from five to 40 years.

20 Years: Jean Hornbostel – Information Systems, Connie Oliver – Environmental Services, Pamela Gall – Physicians Clinic-Family Medicine, Radiology, Pamela Engelhaupt – Emergency Department, Sarah Paetow – Emergency Department; 25 Years: Thomas Rowlee – Facilities Management, Luree Ferguson – NS Med Surgery-2 West; 40 Years: Peggy McFarland – Operating Room, Rebecca Nerud – Nursing Services Admin, Cynthia Yamamoto – Automated Laboratory, Mark Clause – Automated Laboratory, Pamela Smith – Microbiology, Ward Krichau – Cardiopulmonary Services; 50 Years: Sallie Wentz – Finance Department.
