Regional West Foundation Receives $26,000 Grant From Verizon’s National Foundation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Foundation is a recipient of one of three grants in Nebraska from the national Verizon Foundation. The funds were donated to the Campaign for Continuing Excellence, which will fund investments in technology and expand health care services at Regional West Medical Center.

The Verizon Foundation is committed to supporting technology advancement in health care, education, and energy management nationwide. Applications for the grant are accepted by invitation only.

“We were pleased to receive the invitation to apply for the grant. The campaign is proud to be recognized for its contribution to advancing health care in the Panhandle.” said Shelley Knutson, Director of Regional West Foundation.

“Regional West’s new education center will provide a great learning environment for physicians and staff. We’re glad to be part of a project that will include the latest technology for health care and education,” said Jim Daubendiek, Verizon Wireless Major Accounts Manager.

Regional West Foundation has been raising funds for the benefit of the hospital since 1972. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that solicits tax-deductible private contributions for the benefit of Regional West Medical Center.
