Regional West Back Injection Medicine Safe; Not Purchased From Company Involved In Meningitis Investigation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Medical Center today issued assurances that it uses no medication from the Massachusetts compounding center associated with the nation’s fungal meningitis outbreak.

Patients who received methylprednisolone acetate injections at Regional West have no cause for concern.

“We do not purchase any of our drugs from New England Compounding Center, which is the pharmacy that is involved with this problem,” said Ron Bahnsen, pharmacy director.
