Free Diabetes Education Class Scheduled

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – The Diabetes Care Center at Regional West Physicians Clinic will host a free diabetes education class on Tuesday, July 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Regional West Medical Plaza South, room 1202.

Sherry Smartt, RN, CDE, will present “Beating the Heat and other Summer Safety Tips for Diabetes.”

Smartt is a Certified Diabetes Educator who works as a nurse educator in the RWPC Diabetes Care Center. Her work at the DCC centers on teaching self-management skills to individuals to successfully control diabetes.

All individuals with diabetes and family members are welcome to attend. Diabetes Care Center community education classes are a supportive, informational resource for persons with diabetes, their families, and friends.
