The Breast Health Center at Regional West Announces “Sisters” Campaign

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Breast Health Center at Regional West announces the launch of a new awareness campaign. The campaign, Sisters of the Heart, the Soul, and the Mind, focuses on:
• Quality, convenient, and compassionate care
• Support of friends and family
• Self-appreciation

As the family’s primary caregiver, many women have little time to care for themselves. The Breast Health Center now offers “Walk-in Wednesdays,” allowing patients to make spur of the moment arrangements to have their screening mammogram, without the complication of an appointment. The “Walk-in Wednesdays” will be held the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, the Breast Health Center is offering extended evening hours and will see patients for screening mammograms until 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month; please check in by 6:30pm. In January 2013, patients will have the ability to schedule late appointments if desired, however, walk-in patients will still be welcome.

Additional points of the Sisters campaign include:
• “Sisters” stand by each other with flexible scheduling. If you have an appointment scheduled, feel free to bring a “sister” who is eligible for a mammogram and we’ll work her in at the same time. No reason to procrastinate!
• Patients seen in the Breast Health Center will also receive a complimentary mini spa package for visiting the Breast Health Center.

Early detection saves lives. As a reminder, industry standards recommend that women perform manual self-breast checks monthly and have a baseline mammogram by age 35 with annual mammograms at age 40 and thereafter. We encourage you to contact your primary care provider to ask questions about screening mammograms. To schedule your visit to the Breast Health Center today call 308-630-2700, option 1.
