Air Link Chief Flight Nurse Receives Medical Transport Leadership Scholarship

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.,-Air Link is proud to announce Chief Flight Nurse Tracy Meyer, RN, BSN, CFRN, NRP, has been selected nationally as the recipient of the 2014 Medical Transport Leadership Institute Scholarship.

Meyer was awarded the scholarship based on her dedication to critical care transport. With over 16 years of experience in the medical community, she serves as both a flight nurse and Chief Flight Nurse. She’s active in the Association of Air Medical Services and the Nebraska Association of Air Medical Services.

Meyer is looking forward to attending the institute not only because of her personal goals, but also for the benefit of Air Link.

“Our(Air Link’s) medical transport system will be improved by gaining the knowledge I need to perform effectively as a chief flight nurse ,” said Meyer.

The Medical Transport Leadership Institute enhances leadership and management of medical transportation though it’s formal education programs, which emphasize management theory and its application. The two year program will begin in April when Tracy attends a week long class in West Virginia. The year following will include benchmark requirements and a follow-up week long class in 2015. Upon completion of the program, Tracy will be a Certified Medical Transport Executive.
