Regional West Welcomes First Baby Of 2015

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Health Services welcomed the first baby to be born in 2015 at the medical center at 8:02 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Samuel Loyd Foster was born Thursday, January 1, to Chad Foster and Briana O’Ryan of Torrington, Wyo. He arrived just in time for his dad to meet him before departing for Army boot camp at Fort Benning, Ga.

Samuel measured 20 and 3/4 inches and weighed seven pounds, one ounce. His middle name was chosen in honor of the baby’s great grandfather on his father’s side.

Charge nurse Cassie Haeffelin, RN, BSN, of Regional West’s Birth and Infant Care Center, presented the family with a variety of baby gifts, which is a Regional West tradition for the first baby born each New Year at Regional West.
