Breast Health Center To Unveil 3D Tomography at April 2 Open House

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― The public is invited to an open house at the Regional West Breast Health Center on Tuesday, April 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. The event will showcase the new 3D tomography units provided by Regional West Foundation.  

3D tomography is the latest technology for breast cancer detection. Regional West Foundation raised $1.3 million to purchase and install two tomography units and to renovate the treatment rooms in the Breast Health Center.

“We are grateful to the many donors who contributed to the 3D tomography fundraising campaign. Our goal is to provide support for quality health care services at Regional West and this project fit perfectly with our mission,” said John Massey, Regional West Foundation chair.

Major donors to the 3D tomography campaign included Platte Valley Companies, Fliesbach Family Foundation, Oregon Trail Community Foundation, 21st Century Equipment, Kelley Bean Company, Jim and Helen Reinhardt, Paul and Lisa Mohr, First State Bank, Mark and Karrie Gillam, Dr. Glen Forney, and Radiology Imaging of Nebraska. Regional West employees contributed nearly $65,000.

The Breast Health Center open house will be hosted by Regional West Foundation. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Special prize drawings will be held for those in attendance and breast cancer survivors.
