Emergency Medical Services
Regional West Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is an Advanced Life Support ground ambulance service that serves the 16 counties in Trauma Region Four and beyond, staffing both Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and Nationally Registered Paramedics (NRP).
As Regional West’s air ambulance service, Air Link has been an integral part of our region since 1995, providing critical care transport during the crucial minutes following a traumatic injury or acute medical condition.
As one of only three Level II Trauma Centers in Nebraska, Regional West serves as a regional referral center for western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, southern South Dakota, and northern Colorado.
The Transfer Center at Regional West Medical Center facilitates a one-call system for referring physicians. With one call, we will arrange for your patient’s hospital acceptance and admission, as well as coordinate transportation to our hospital, if needed.
We are committed to supporting the region as the lead Level II Trauma Center in Nebraska's Region 4. Support includes outreach and consultation in the development of surrounding trauma systems, including pre-hospital training, education, performance improvement, and injury prevention activities.
Regional West is committed to evidence-based stroke care and prevention. The health care providers and staff at Regional West urge everyone to learn how to recognize and prevent stroke. If you or a loved one suffers a stroke, know that as a Primary Stroke Center, Regional West provides exceptional stroke care – right here at home.
