Employees Recognized with Third Quarter STAR, PEARL and DAISY Awards

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West recently hosted its third quarter Employee Awards Banquet recognizing staff for years of service and recipients of the STAR, PEARL and DAISY awards for outstanding service and patient care. Employees are nominated quarterly by co-workers, staff, patients, and visitors.

The STAR Program at Regional West encourages employees, patients, their family members, and visitors to nominate employees who demonstrate outstanding care and customer service. STAR award winners are Beth Esselstein – Rehab, Adrianna Koke – Inpatient Pharmacy, and Sarah Maulsby – Case Management.

The PEARL award recognizes employees for outstanding customer service, quality patient care, and teamwork. PEARL award winners are Loreta Hanley – Physicians Clinic Family Medicine/Internal Medicine and Sonia Schumacher – Physicians Clinic-Internal Medicine.

The DAISY Award is an international program that celebrates excellence in nursing. It recognizes and honors the inspiring work that nurses do every day. The winner of the second Regional West DAISY Nursing Award is Tara Harpold, RN – Surgery Center.

Regional West also honored long-term employees; recognizing staff who have worked for Regional West from five to 40 years.

25 Years: Maria Lopez – Food Service; Jonathan Morgan, MD – Physicians Clinic-Anesthesia; Debra Cruickshank – Regional West Physicians Clinic-Psychiatry & Behavioral Health; Lynette Newth – Food Service; Carrie Morris – Patient Financial Services; Michael Armstrong – Physicians Clinic-Surgery, Vascular Diagnostics. 30 Years of Service: Margo Ferguson – Quality Resource; James Massey, MD, FACS – Physicians Clinic-Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery; Lori Miller – Food Service. 35 Years of Service: Nancy Feil – Patient Access; Brenda Staman – Materials Management; Muriel Caldwell – Distribution; David Holdt, MD, FACOG – Physicians Clinic-Administration.
