Breast Cancer Awareness Month Kicks Off with Save a Rack Bra Decorating Contest

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – In the spirit of raising awareness of breast cancer, Regional West is teaming up with Backaracks Bar & Grill for the Second Annual “Save a Rack” bra-decorating contest. To participate, decorate a bra and deliver it before Oct. 29 to Backaracks at 1402 E 20th Street, Scottsbluff.

All of the decorated bras will be auctioned at Backaracks on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. The event will feature the sale of special shirts and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit the Festival of Hope.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer (second only to skin cancer.) It affects mostly women, although men can also be diagnosed. Early detection can lead to a full recovery, so it’s important to check yourself monthly, schedule an annual OB-GYN exam, and, if you’re over 40, schedule an annual mammogram.

To schedule an OB-GYN appointment call The Women’s Center at 308-635-3033 or Family Medicine at 308-630-2100. To schedule a mammogram, contact Regional West Scheduling Services at 308-630-2700.

For more information about the Save a Rack event, contact Backaracks at 308-633-2712.
