Regional West Garden County Appoints CEO

OSHKOSH, Neb., – The Board of Directors of Regional West Garden County Health Services  has appointed Chad Thompson as Chief Executive Officer. He assumed the full-time CEO administrative responsibilities for the hospital, long-term-care facility and rural health clinic on November 10.

Thompson, who is from North Dakota, has been serving as the Interim CEO at Regional West Garden County for several months. He completed his undergraduate education at Midland University, Fremont, NE, and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND.   

“We are pleased for Chad to continue his leadership at Regional West Garden County Health Services,” said John Mentgen, Regional West President and CEO and Regional West Garden County board chair. “His health care expertise and experience will be very beneficial to Regional West Garden County and the community.”

Thompson previously worked as chief operating officer at Regional West Garden County. His experience includes critical access hospital operations, clinical services, and home health care services.

Regional West Health Services in Scottsbluff, Neb., is the parent company of Regional West Medical Center, a 182-bed regional referral center and one of three Level II Trauma Centers in the state. As the region’s only tertiary referral medical center, Regional West offers care that spans more than 32 medical specialties provided by over 28 physician clinics.
