Regional West Foundation Grant Keeps Village Residents Exercising

Scottsbluff, Neb., - Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, or even hot weather will keep residents of The Village at Regional West from getting the exercise they need, thanks to a matching grant from Regional West Foundation.

The Village applied to the Foundation for funds to purchase new equipment to replace the old stationary bicycles used in the exercise room. The Foundation responded with a generous grant that was matched by a resident. The grant allowed The Village to purchase a new treadmill, elliptical machine, and a recumbent exercise bike.

“Staying active and physically fit is one of the best ways for seniors to maintain an independent lifestyle,” said Karen Vorse, Manager of The Village at Regional West. “We’re thrilled to be able to ensure that residents can exercise whenever they want, night or day. We’re also very grateful to Regional West Foundation for their donation.”
