Regional West Foundation Awards $26,500 in Scholarships to School of Radiologic Technology Students

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. ― The Regional West Foundation Board of Directors has awarded eight Regional West School of Radiologic Technology students a total of $26,500 in scholarships.

Each year, Regional West Foundation grants health education scholarships to students from Regional West’s service area. Following graduation, many of the students pursue employment in the communities Regional West serves. Scholarship awards are split between the 2023 fall and 2024 spring semesters.

Evelyn Anderson Saenz, of Gering; Carlee Brester, of Scottsbluff; and Kilee Stauffer, from Morrill, each received a $5,000 Gerke scholarship. Adam Bell, of Scottsbluff, was awarded a $2,500 Gerke scholarship, as well as two $1,000 Kellett scholarships.

Benjamin Okraska, from Curtis, received two $1,000 Drawbaugh scholarships. Megan Oligmueller, of Alliance, was awarded two $1,000 Harvey scholarships.

The $1,000 Radiology Fund scholarship went to Hannah Lemmon, from Crawford, and Addison Lewis, of Alliance, received two $1,000 C.N. Sorenson scholarships.

Founded in 1951, Regional West Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology is a two-year hospital-based program offering the only radiographer education program in western Nebraska. Regional West’s radiography program is nationally accredited through The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
