Regional West’s Sleep Disorder & Diagnostic Clinic Earns Three-Year Reaccreditation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., ― Regional West’s Sleep Disorder & Diagnostic Clinic has earned another three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Commission on Health Care (ACHC).

Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. ACHC is a nonprofit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986.  ACHC accreditation reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care. Regional West’s Sleep Disorder & Diagnostic Clinic has held ACHC accreditation since 2018.

“We are proud to receive another accreditation from the ACHC,” said Sean McCracken, director of Cardiopulmonary Services. “The Sleep Clinic team did a phenomenal job working with surveyors and getting everything prepared for the reaccreditation survey.”

“Accreditation is an ongoing process that requires continual attention to details,” said Stephen Smith, MD, FCCP, medical director of the Sleep Disorder & Diagnostic Clinic. “Accreditation is not something that just happens at the time of the survey; it is an affirmation of the clinic’s hard work, and I am proud that our patients are evaluated with high quality testing.”

Located in Medical Plaza North, Regional West’s Sleep Disorder & Diagnostic Clinic is dedicated to helping patients get back to restful nights. The clinic provides sleep studies to help identify sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, a combination of the two, and narcolepsy.
