Nursing and Health Education Scholarships Available Through Regional West Foundation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., – Regional West Foundation is accepting applications now through June 1 for students pursuing health care careers in western Nebraska.

The Foundation grants approximately 45 educational scholarships valued at nearly $75,000 annually. Scholarships are available for nursing, laboratory medicine, and radiologic technology. In addition, conditional scholarship loans are available to medical students.

Memorial and honorary scholarships are available as a sophomore student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, Western Division in Scottsbluff. These scholarships average $1,000 and are available to full-time students with a 3.0 GPA.

Foundation Legacy scholarships range in value from $2,000 to $10,000. These scholarships are available to sophomore students enrolled in the nursing program at Western Nebraska Community College and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, Western Division; as well as the Regional West School of Radiologic Technology.  To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full-time as a sophomore student, second level, or higher, with a 3.2 GPA. In addition, they must plan to pursue employment in the Regional West service area.
